Five years in the wine sales industry and a serious collector for over 20 years has enabled Philip to build up an extensive knowledge in New World & European wines which he is keen to share with other wine enthusiasts. As founder of Appellation Central™ Wine Tours he has a strong personal interest in promoting Central Otago as a premium New Zealand wine region.
Wendy Johnston - Director and Tour Guide
Wendy manages to multitask between project management work, wine touring guiding as well as being Appellation Central's business manager and strategist. As well as making an exceptional guide Wendy instigated the Appellation Central Wine Certificate course which all our guides now undertake.
Kirsty Tennent - Senior Tour Guide
A diverse background in South Island tour guiding and hospitality (including certificates in wine appreciation), and a ready enthusiasm, Kirsty has revelled in wine tour guiding. Kirsty is now in her 6th year touring and is one of our senior guides.
Jess Ruth - Tour Guide
With several years tour guiding in the Queenstown district and a friendly personality Jess has become a valued member of the Appellation Central™ team and now in her 5th year.
Keren McSkimming - Tour Guide
Keren joined the team in October 2009. A keen multisporter, long term local, previous guiding experience and a strong interest in wine, having worked in a cellar door, has helped make Keren a great asset to the 2010 team.
Jude Gillies - Tour Guide
Jude was our second new recruit late 2009 and adds great diversification to the team with a background in horticulture and journalism. In recent years, Jude has developed a strong interest in wine journalism developing knowledge and contacts throughout the South Island, so you never know who will be writing our next newsletter!
Iain Forrest - Tour Guide
Iain joined the team in November 2008 having worked in a variety guiding and tourism positions in the South Island. Iain brings to the team a keen interest in wine and an extensive local and South Island knowledge.
We have a great team of guides for 2010 and we are sure you will enjoy meeting them.
